My favorite hangout and some of the wonderful things found there The next 3 are from my garden Foxglove The first Rose Peony
Beautify photos Netty. It is definitely more fun playing with a new camera in the days of digital than when you had to get the film developed! I keep hinting for a new camera, maybe for Christmas
I'd love to meet you at that garden center! It looks like a good one. Wouldn't we have some fun. Is that the peony that came from your mom's garden? It's beautiful. Ditto the foxglove. And the rose is touching, it is so sweet and delicate.
No Daisybeans, that isn't the one from my Mom's garden. This one came from a friends house ~ he didn't want it anymore. I couldn't imagine someone not wanting a Peony? but I went to rescue it. I split it into 3 and they are all blooming this year Sadly, the one from my Mom's garden hasn't got a single bud this year
Who wouldn't want a peony??? At least he knew who to give it to. The peony that I brought from my grandma's garden in the Fall didn't get any buds either. It grew well, but no buds. I suspect I have it planted too deep -- I didn't know any better when I planted it. I'll move it this Fall and fix it. Did the one from your mom's ever bloom before? I'm still trying to learn about peonies. Can they tolerate full hot sun or do they need a little protection from it?
Isn't it exciting to have a new camera to play with? :-D Superb photographs Netty. I can just imagine the GardenStew crew all descending on that garden centre - doubt there's be anything left after we'd been there. Your rose is such a delicate shade of pink and ties in so well with colour of your foxglove and that beautiful peony. More piccies please - after all you want to get in all the practice you can with that camera don't you?
Capt - I bought myself a Fuji S1600 I'm having fun with it. Daisybeans - my Mom's Peony bloomed last year. I don't know why it won't this year, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for next year.
I have a Fuji Finepix S8100fd and I love it. I have probably taken a couple of thousand pics with it. The more you use it the better you will like it.
Good luck with the new camera, looks like it takes great photos. The first rose and peony are simply beautiful, great close ups.
Thank you everyone for your comments. I'm still getting familiar with my camera but I'll definitely be posting more
