Loads of goldfinches visiting today. This was taken through the window so is not as clear but you can just see three of them.

A close-up of one of the pond lights, I think the snow looks really pretty with the light.

Thie one was taken through the bedroom window towards the road with the street light shining on the snow.

Just gorgeous, I love photos of snow scenes, they look so quiet and peaceful.
I really like the ones of your back garden and pond.

Simply lovely! The shot of your back garden at dusk is especially nice. Busby is a great looking dog, and so obviously enjoying the snow!
I like looking at snow pictures, especially since we no longer live in an area with snow!

Your garden and pond lights look really great Pat.
I have six pond lights and various garden lights somewhere in my garden underneath all the snow.
So glad Busby is enjoying himself so much - there's just nothing like a dog playing in the snow to bring a smile to your face is there? :-D

I swear, this all looks exactly like Murree Pakistan - A hill station and recreational area developed by the British in 1851. Originally established for the British troops garrisoned on the Afghan frontier. It today is a major tourist destination of Pakistan!

Thanks for posting the lovely photos of Murree S-H. I don't really associate thick snow with Pakistan but I assume this is a very high area. You may guess that geography is not one of my strong points :-D

Yes you are correct, it is a high area (7,000 feet above sea level I think). However, our section of the Himalayan Mountain Range is so high, that mountains as tall as 12,000 feet are referred to as "foothills"...

But as regards the area of Murree, it was developed in the time of the British Raj. So the architecture of all the buildings as well as the way streets are too are planned - Is nearly identical to what I saw in your pictures!

I'm just amazed at the fact that 2 separate areas of the world, at such a great distance apart - End up looking the same, and that too at the same time of the year! :)

Guess this means that we share a common heritage! :)

Thanks for sharing your snow, GG. That actually looks like the perfect amount. Enough to soften everything but not enough to cause problems. :D

Busby certainly looks happy. Is he a Flat Coat? Our Flat loved snow and used to burrow in it.

He certainly is Droopy, absolutely mad :D

As far as problems go with the snow I am afraid the UK almost grinds to a halt, we are just not equipped like other countries. Our roads are not treated, even though they said they would be before this snow arrived, so people are having all sorts of problems. Just getting out of our village is a nightmare.
