I enjoy the plants in the wild and have put a few poisonous ones together, I know there are a lot more and also some in the garden, but garden flowers are not my thing. Have a browse just click Poisonous Plants.
I so much like your collages, slide shows and photos of anything and everything Kildale. Your poison-sheet is no exception. Lovely blooms, despite the fact that some are deadly.
Really pleased that you enjoy these pages. I have a few that I call 'A Look at' edible plants, moss, lichens, fungi, and probably a couple of other, ferns and even grasses.
Wonderful show.I must let my daughter to watch her boys very close as she pulls up the next to the last one in your show.We have been trying to find out what it is it looks like little shooting stars and her neighbor told her it was mountain laurel.I didn't think so.Thank you for the great show.
The 2nd from last pic is a huge vine and is one of the deadly Nightshades. I have a few different shooting star photos and they are onle small flowers maybe reaching 12 inches. I have attached one. Shooting Star ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
I didn't realise just how many poisonous plants I actually have in my garden. Apart from the wild species I also have some cultivated ones like Euphorbia. I don't have young children or pets around the place and the wildlife seem to appreciate the wide variety of plants I have. I think the toxic ones are just as beautiful as the others that are harmless. Thanks for showing these photographs as there are bound to be some of our members who will appreciate knowing which plants their children and pets should avoid going near.
