A friend of mine has a lovely garden, and I want to share it with you:

She's got a lovely pond with fish and water plants:

    These are mini-coniferae:

    She's very fond of holly:

The space for each Hosta is measured out, so each plant will be able to grow to their full potential without disturbing the neighbouring plants:

Her collection of dwarf trees is very big:

A view of one of her borders:

The mini-ivy is so small it almost disappears:

    Is that Frank, I wonder?

Will do, zuzu, and thank you.

Both her husband and her son are enthusiastical gardeners and collectors in different fields, so there are lots of new things to admire every year.

Quite a beautiful garden Droopy, thank you for sharing it with us. Gorgeous mix of colours in the border. Will you also pass on my glowing praise to your talented friend? Thanks!

BTW jag vet inte vem den där tomten är :D (sorry for my poor Swedish ::rolleyes: I just said I don't know who the gnome is)

:D Your Swedish is good, Frank!

The gnome is the husband's. My friend is trying her best to break it several times per year, but has not succeeded so far.

I've got lots more photos of that garden. It's a veritable smorgasbord for us garden-o-holics, I tell you.

    Anybody for German?

Since we had Swedish, how 'bout some German?

Der Garten Deines Freundes is sehr schön, Droopy.

eileen and Netty, thank you! Of course I can post more photos, but not now. It's the middle of the night here, and I need my beauty sleep. (No, I'm not going into hibernation, don't worry.)

WtxDaddy-I can read German but wouldn't attempt to write in German! German was my first language but I'm REALLY rusty!
