A Gem of a New Rose

    I've been admiring this little rose in the catalogs for some time. Finally broke down and here are the first blooms.

    Oh good for you! That is a sweet little rose -- it looks kind of a coral-y color. I really like open flouncy roses.

    Thanks Daiseybeans, roses are a challenge in our part of the world, so I'm babying this one. I'm goin to try your suggestion with the corn meal. Let me know if it works for you.

    Oh, GG... If my roses survive blackspot this year, it will be hard to say what helped, as I've tried everything :( ... we'll have to wait and see.

    But your little rose is cute and healthy. I hope the cornmeal helps.
