Look what arrived today for me! It actually came after I got home from work, my mail lady's working late tonight! You know what this is, right? This is the package with the mini-hostas that Barb (waretrop) said she'd send me!!! I was nervous when I started to open it. I wondered how any plant could survive being put through the mail, but I figured Barb knew what she was doing, so I crossed my fingers and took a deep breath, and dived in! Will you look at that? They survived the journey with barely a blemish! Barb, you obviously packed them very well. There was hardly any soil displacement, they were still damp, nothing seemed crushed, I was amazed they did so well. And here they are freshly watered and waiting for the weekend when I can actually get them in the ground. Barb, thank you so, SO much! I am already having so much fun just thinking where I can plant them, and maybe what I should re-arrange, and perhaps I'll get some little decorative stones to make a mini garden ..... well, it's given me a whole new project to work on! Again, many, many thanks! I am beyond thrilled!
You are very welcome. You enjoy your little babies. BTW, These are the first few labels I have done with my P-touch for the garden. I hope they don't fade like everything else I have done.
Not really trying to be a wet blanket here, but the high resolution image one gets after clicking the first picture - Makes it extremely easy to read the postal addresses of both people here... So on the plus side, this means that I too can now send you both some of my extra seeds! But on the down side, this is a bit concerning as far as privacy on the Internet goes... Yes, I am a bit paranoid from time to time, but I generally do worry about everybody's safety (specially our own members)... Which is why for next time, please blur or pixelate that area with text, (where the postal address is written). Try IrfanView, or any other graphics utility which will allow you to do this. http://www.irfanview.com/ Of simply cover that area with a piece of paper before taking the picture. Yes, we are a very safe and responsible online community. But in these crazy times, one needs to be extra careful...
That's great Ronni. Barb, you really are a top person! Good reminder about the addresses S-H, thanks.
HUH? I am so clueless here. Now, please don't explain as I won't "get it" nor will I ever use it. I will use the tape method because that is just the old fashioned kind of gal I am.
I won't explain it because you've asked that we not. But if you use any kind of photo hosting site for the photos you post here, you can edit any photo, and blurring the image to cover the address (as I did) is a very simple process. If you ever want to know how, I'd be happy to talk you through it.
Barb,if you haven't yet seen it, check out my new "mini-garden" thread to see what I did with the hostas as you sent me!
