BarB Qued pork ribs, baked taters, corn on the cob and sliced fresh home grown tomatoes! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Yes that sounds good. I had little strips of beef, wax beans, summer squash, zucchini, onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms all stir fried in a cast iron wok, over rice. Everything came from our garden or had been preserved from our garden other years. Not the mushrooms, beef and rice. The mushrooms I had canned. It all sounds funny but it was good.
CK that sounds like just the kind of meal Ian and I would enjoy. I can just see you tucking in to it with relish. :-D
That sounds delicious, Ware. I eat those sorts of meals frequently...especially in the summer. It always gives me a little bit of pride also, because the veg is from my own garden.
I hated squash until this year. I go by the rules I set for my daughter. You have to take 3 bites worth if you don't like it. She always took 3 peas, she never learned to like them. I always took 3 little pieces of squash just for my rules. So I went to this restaurant that served me grilled something and I loved it. So now I eat it almost every day to keep up with my garden. I love it crispie.
Sounds delicious! Tonight we are having BBQ'd pork chops, garden beans, and baked potatoes. IF it doesn't rain!
Capt K--Does sound delicious!! Barb--I can relate. I have found that liking some foods has more to do with familiarity---just trying it several times. Also with how they are cooked. I used to think I hate brussel sprouts until my husband began roasting them. Delicious!
I have been waiting for the invites for all of these great meals.....we had half a sub sandwich for each of us and some fritos. Enjoy....
