Last night we got a rare -- and welcome -- dump of snow in Tidewater Virginia. It'll melt into the very dry water table and it will be great relief come summer. Looking forward to spring but glad to have the snow -- I love the stuff! Victoria in Virginia
Hi Veebur! At least you are HAPPY about the snow. I think if we got another dump of snow here now I just might lose my mind. I've had enough!
We've been having an unusually cold winter here in Seattle as well, It snowed about 2 inches a week ago. Very odd.
If ever you have a yearning for the white stuff, you can always come and visit us here in Wisconsin! I love the snow, but by March I'm ready for some green.
Hi Veebur and welcome to the "stew". We're in NC,but we've been missed as we are right on the beach. Hope the snow helps to green your garden in the spring.
Hi V and welcome to our forums from Scotland. You would love it here because the one thing we rarely have is a dry period!!!
I'm a snow-bereaved Norwegian who's suffered through a very snowless winter for the second year running. I guess we'll have some now in March, since we usually do, but I'm not holding my breath.
I grew up in California and spent winters looking longingly at the snow on the San Bernardino mountains. I was truly happy when we moved to the Pittsburgh area and I had snow. I spent 3 years in Vermont -- LOVED IT! -- and now have been in VA for 16 years. My two Goldens, Emma and Brinkley, love the snow and are outside now (it's 7:10 AM on 3/3/09) eating ice. Silly puppies!
