Before I joined this collection of characters AKA The Stew it had been many years since I had written anything when I wore a younger man clothes I used to write sometimes 8-10 poems a day not every day but more often than not. I wrote on matchbook covers, napkins , note books, even Zig-Zag rolling papers. I have started writing again because you have shown me that it is possible to find a place, where no njudgements are made, no backing biting, no hurting looks, only acceptance and love. One of my favorite people Bob Marley wopuld call this place "a no Babaylon." Thank each and everyone of you, ths is a special place

Richard just don't ever stop writing. I may not comment on each and every poem but I do read all of them and, so far, have enjoyed everything I've read. :-D

It is great that all the good folks here have persuaded you to get back into to something you love Richard. Glad to hear it.

Richard, do not ever stop writing. You have a rare talent. Use it. If we have encouraged it, then the world can thank us, you needn't.

After I read this post I went and read some of your poems. I didn't get to read all of them yet, but the ones I did were wonderfull! I really like the one you wrote Sharon for her birthday.
    Don't ever stop writing Richard!

I look forward to seeing your poems compiled in a book! I used to write scads of poetry, it was the only way I could really express things that angered me. Even had one published just to see if I could. Haven't written in, oh, 15-odd years, but you have inspired me to perhaps try again. Maybe start with a haiku, lol!

    Thank YOU, Richard.

Your words provoke thoughts and emotions
    and awaken slumbering memories.
What you share through your poetry is inestimable.

Thank you all for your kind words. Netty I am glad you like them. I never guessed so many people would read my poems. It is a personal thing your innermost thoughts, like standing naked for the world to see.
