The big containers below were blue in colour,..which i hated every time i looked at a photograph of the garden.

Much better--gives the garden a finished look.
Is that British Racing Green? My husband drove a BRG sports car when we were dating, and he even let me help wash and wax it!

    Hi Jane,
British Racing Green it is,..i am laughing here at your remark,.."he even let me help wash and wax it",..it reminds me of when i was in the Forces,..my OH used to do my uniform buttons and trimmings when a big inspection came up,..one night a group of us were out to dinner,..one of the guys mentioned that we were having a big inspection in two days!,..my OH replied that she hated those inspections as she had a really hard time shining buttons, badges and other brass,..everyone stopped talking,..and mouths opened in shock when she admitted she did all the preparation,..she had done so since we got married and i got used to it,..boy did i get a ribbing that night.

Shame on you Philip letting your wife do all that hard work for you. I hope it wasn't catching and that the other guys didn't insist on their wives doing the same. :p

I love that shade of green paint you used and knew I recognised it from somewhere. A friend of ours had a sports car in just that shade. I have to admit though that I like it better on your pots. :-D

What are the pots made of? Plastic? Ceramic? Terra Cotta?
Whatever they are... that paint sure makes them beautiful.

The green paint sure has spruced up the pots and makes the plants more attractive.

    Hi folks,
lol at some of your remarks, :D ,..those large containers are a type of strong plastic,..i used to know a guy who could get me plenty of those,..and he did,..then he moved house,..they used to contain herbs!,..i used them of old to store my chicken and duck grain,..very handy as lids were supplied.

Funny thing about my Ex OH,..when we got married first i was in a rush getting ready for an inspection and she volunteered to do my buttons and stuff,..then proceeded to do that job thereafter,..i only needed to say big inspection in two days,..and off she set to work,..of course i never told anyone,..but i never lived it down after being exposed at that dinner,..and she never did the job again, :D .
