    Here is a photograph I managed to take (at long last) of a kingfisher that visited our river today. Isn't he beautiful? It's only taken me over thirty years to get a shot of one!!!! :rolleyes:

    Congrats Eileen, he is gorgeous. I have heard of Kingfishers but they are not down here.

    He is so beautiful, Eileen. So worth the wait. Perhaps he will find his ladylove and settle down near your river, at least for a season or so.

    What a stunner. Some birds are so hard to photograph but so worth the effort. What a great pic. 8)

    Wow Eileen, I have never seen a Kingfisher in the flesh...or should that be in the feathers before. Stunning bird - so blue. You are very lucky to catch it on camera!!

    Good job!! And such a beautiful shot! Our kingfishers are camera-shy too, and look a bit different from yours, white where yours is red. They are so identifiable with that no-tail!
