    We have Red Breasted Mergansers here but I've never managed to get a terrific photograph like yours. Ours are rather shy and tend to stay in deeper water making photography a tad difficult. They breed in the north west of Scotland - maybe I'll get a chance to take a photograph if we're up that way.
