It is called, The World History In Twelve Beans. It focuses on the importance of beans throughout history and the cultures to whom they meant so much.
Sounds like this is just my kind of book! Enjoy it and I hope you will bless us with a report. I checked Amazon for an English translation. Couldn't find it.
That book is very new—months old. Perhaps a translation will come later if it proves to be liked and popular. I will try and remember to give a book report later.
Loggie, if you look at the names of the authors— they are different. Thanks anyhow. It does sound interesting though, doesn’t it.
I like these one-topic histories. I've also read histories of salt, potatoes, tomatoes, and others I have forgotten. Michael Pollan wrote a four topic book - The botany of desire, about apples, tulips, marijuana, and potatoes.
