A Rose....this started as two shrub roses several years ago. I took pictures of it in bloom last year but this year we have a better camera.
It isn't even in full bloom yet, dozens of buds still to open.

I found this huge coffee cup planter at Micheals craft store yesterday and just couldn't resist. It is planted with an Artemisia Powis Castle that is said to attract Lady Bugs, so I thought the cup was perfect for it.

I'm an old cowhand....the cowboy on the right is holding a pot of white trailing Verbena, the cowgirl is holding a pot of Flowering Maple, Abutilon hybridum aka Chinese bellflower or Chinese Lantern, the color of this one is Melon Sorbet..sort of a pale orangy color. The Liatris I transplanted are coming up nicely and about to flower in front of the bed parts and I planted some garlic cloves in front of the Liatris. I'm think I need to plant more of them to fill in that area more.

Toni your roses are really lovely. Are they scented by any chance? You've just got to love impatiens haven't you? They flower their little hearts out for months on end here. Yours look good in those stewpots - now I wonder where I've seen one of those before?!! :D

Love the retired stew pots. And I like ladybugs so I wouldn't have been able to resist the cup planter either.

Oh, I wish they were. They have a tiny bit of fragrance but that is only when you stick your nose into a bunch of them. The only drawback to them is in about a week the clusters of blooms will start to die and the whole thing will start looking pretty sad. I usually get out then and trim it back.

Those stew pots have shown up all around the garden with different plants in them, I much prefer them hanging on that picket fence with Impatients tho.

WOW! :-D That rose is just super.
    Everything is looking wonderful!

I think that your headboard fence/trellis is great,
I'll have to keep my eyes open for similar pieces.

I think I have that rose Toni, it is blooming it heart out right now, the pink seven sisters has intruded on the white roses side of the fence and they have intertwined, looks good.
    Everything else looks great.

Thanks all. It is hard to believe it is only the end of April with all that is blooming out there.

Did you know that I have had those stew pots for so long that I didn't even realize they matched the logo until Frank mentioned it. Eileen, your comment about them just went right over my head. Too many things on my mind causing distractions I guess....or just getting old. :-? No, I prefer to think the problem was multi-tasking not age. :-D
