Spring is truly underway here and it is happening with bursts of colour in many of the plots. Moodiness, frustration, taxes and worldly troubles all just melt away when my flowers smile at me. Today I want to some of the varieties that are calling our garden home. To begin with, the first clump that bloomed this spring up in the front plot. Oh my word, don’t they make one smile. The next two are a bit flat-faced, but none-the-less attractive, with their colour. This trio caught my eye in their late plot. These guys show how different outward appearances can be: A close-up of that multi-petaled wonder. Amazing that developers would want to present this disfigured jewel. Just like life, itself— beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say. I am going to exit this flowery thread with one last bouquet of blooming beauties. Gôh, isn’t nature wonderful.
I absolutely love them all but that, what you called "disfigured" apricot and white one is to die for !! Just gorgeous !! I'd put that in my garden in a heartbeat !! My garden makes me happy, keeps me grounded so that I don't let the weight of the World get to me.
Annie— I agree with you on that double daff. It is so unusual and the sort of tangeriney-apricotty colour speaks to me. I like that colour in roses as well. I am delighted to hear that you liked this posting.
