This squirrel really got his fill this morning on my bungee cord squirrel feeder. It took the squirrels a long time to start using it, but they sure enjoy it now! My dog Dixie won't let them near the bird feeders, but "allows" them to use this feeder! There is a bird bath beside it, and the squirrels use it much more than the birds do. Well your link worked just fine and I saw Dixie (awww what a beauty :-D ) and the squirrel exercising whilst trying to get to his treat
Squirrels can be a riot to watch...until they're tearing up your bulbs or eating the new, yet unopened, buds of some tulips ya just brought all the way back from Amsterdam!... The ones in my yard are absolutely brazen. I watched three of them come down the mulberry tree to sit on the corner railing of my small back deck, washing themselves and each other. I slowly opened the door and slid out onto the deck so that I was no more than 3ft. from them. They looked at me, and kept right on washing! I think one actually threw his tail up in my face! Well, one quick move from me and they all went flying up the tree. I tell ya...these are those tough, NYC squirrels! Does anyone have any hints as to how one "naturally" make them AVOID my yard?..without killing my other plants, of course. PJJ
Very cute photos. Dixie looks like a great little guard dog. I love to watch the little squirrels...it's like watching a circus act.
Bluebirdie...I love the bungie cord for the squirrels. I haven't seen one before. I only had squirrels at this house about 3 times and then they must of figured it wasn't worth the walk to get to my feeders and pergola. I used to have so many at the last house and I loved watching them and having them come up on the deck to peek in at us..they also liked to drink out the dog bowls...Great pictures...keep them coming.
