I had a Tufted Titmouse come to the feeder at lunch time, but there was only one peanut left. Usually they take the small ones that only have one nut in the shell. But this one was a large one with 3 nuts in the shell. Not giving up, he held the nut down with one foot and proceeded to chip a hole in the end of the shell. Then sticking his lower beak in the hole and clamping down on the outer shell with his upper beak, he flew off to eat his big lunch in solitude!
