The horses are very pretty. They are great animals. So is that Crape Myrtle on your side of the fence?
Well, I sure did. It is interesting to see how things are there where you live. I can see that those ponies have worn down areas of the fence. I hope that they do not escape and trample your yard.
I wonder what kind of conversations the two sides are having? "Look at them there waddling about like they own the place." "Look at them there with their long faces."
The crape myrtle are on our side of the fence. I just went out to get a picture of the flowers. Dakota thought I was bringing treats. If you go back toward the house without giving him one he neighs at you quite loudly. Brian fixes up the fence regularly. I just told him that the hole where Dakota had his head needs fixed before he pushes the fence down to help himself. Animals are in the back and the birds are in the front. Living out in the back woods can be quite entertaining at time. We like it a lot. We bought the crape myrtle at a yard sale that was along the road toward College Station. They were five in a can for fifty cents. I bought them and planted them in the back yard. Four are bushy and one is like a tree. They have been there about three years now. dooley
I would enjoy watching everything in your backyard....maybe not if they got into my flower beds....Do you spend a lot of time out there? We have neighbors that never sit out, I think when I get older that will be the hardest part, not being able to get out doors and enjoy nature
We sit in the front yard more than the backyard in the summer. It has more shade. We have a outside table and chairs in both places. My problem is with keeping the grass, weeds and scrubby brush cut to a reasonable length. I would invite some of the animals in to help trim it if they would stick to grass, weeds and scrubby brush but they have to eat bushes, trees and flowers, too. dooley
