Brigg is another town close to Winterton. It is basically a market town and is famous for its street market. Brigg street market, a little like our Pasar Malam back home. The items offered here is much more interesting and the farm produce is lovely. Also had the best sausage ... yum! Our very first experience in an auction market and it is interesting. All items are sold in lots and by bidding. Fresh Farm produce and there were life chicks, roosters and rabbits. A joker wanna be Doing some veggie shopping. Never knew Tesco also sell Petrol and diesel! Had a great time in Brigg and the weather was great.
Looks like you two are having so much fun. Glad you have relatives there to show you places the typical tourist doesn't often see.
Well, that looks like you enjoyed the Briggs market thoroughly! So happy you are having such a great time (and posting photos so we here on the Stew can have a great time, too!)
We've often visited farmers markets and been really happy with the produce we bought as it's much fresher than the stuff the large shops sell. Many of our British supermarkets sell petrol and diesel - usually at lower prices than petrol stations. We pay five pence less per litre at our local Sainsbury's which is quite a saving. So glad your enjoying yourselves and that the weather seems to be co-operating. Thanks for the photographs.
Thank you Toni, we have to keep on rejecting offers from relatives to visit tourist hot spots and they find it weird that we wanted to go to places they usually go. Bought myself 3 pullovers for £1 each from 3 different charity shops. They are very new too and one still have all the labels you would find on a new piece of clothing from a store. Thank you Marlingardener, Thank you Eileen, yes the choices are more in the markets. I do notice that the price of petrol and diesel here is base on free market and it is great. Back home it is very controlled and we have to pay what the government decide. It sucks! Today's weather is lovely too!!! Thanks Donna S, great deals and great bargains!
