    An Eurasian collared dove came back today in the garden.

    Kildale, we get Eurasians all year around. They are fewer in the winter months, but are still here. I enjoy hearing their soft calls in the morning. Eurasian Collared-Dove 3.jpg

    We have them here too. One in particular hangs around with the wood pigeons at feeding time. They are rather handsome birds with their pale plumage and black collars and red eyes.

    We also have them the year round. They are of course non native to America and have spread throughout the world faster than any other animal.
