Ian and I took a walk at Red Moss, Balerno at the week-end with Laura and her friend Amanda to spend some time with the boys.

    Here are some pictures:

The 'boys' are three pet ferrets that my daughter has. They are called Yang, Buck and Taz and are great fun to take on a walk. Laura is on the right with Buck, Ian in the middle with Taz and Amanda on the left with Yang. They certainly attracted lots of attention and many of the other people around were taking photographs of them all.

The boys look like they were having the time of their lives. :-D They look like they'd be into everything with their noses to the ground like that.

Oh, I have to show my Amanda your photos. She has one Ferret named Caprina who is, at the age of 3, one of the tiniest Ferrets anyone has ever seen. As active as she is, I don't think we could handle a larger one.

The boys are really cute, never thought I would like Ferrets until Caprina came to live with us.

I think this is the first time I seen/heard of Ferrets being leashed and taken for a walk. They would have gotten my attention right away too!

Sjeord I doubt if the boys would know what to do with a rat if they saw one. They're purely pets and have never had to hunt for food in their lives. They much prefer to be cuddled and play with paper bags!! :-D

eileen, You make me smile. I love seeing your daughters little pets. I had one named Daisy, and my daughter had 3. What a riot when they visited each other. We would roll on the floor laughing at them.

Oh how I miss those days. LOL

They are a little different for a pet.

Ferrets are unusual. I think they are cute and funny. Last time I was at our big Petco store, I was highly entertained by a couple of them. They must have been in their high energy period of the day because they were chasing, tumbling and boxing all over the cage! It was fun to watch.
I don't guess my kitties would appreciate them much though...
Laura's boys are very handsome! Glad you shared.

haha ferrets are cute! I have a friend who used to have some, but she had to find a new home for them, dont remember why. I used to like going to the pet store in the mall and petting the ferrets, but that store closed down.

Hee hee hee...I should have known.
Well, I guess that they might scare the rats out of their holes though.
I can imagine that those delightful beasts would make great pets.

The ferrets are always entertaining and cute. I saw a pair once, very mischievous. I would think nothing is safe around them.
