My son and his freiend have just come home from Paris. When they were walking, a woman in front of them bent down and picked something up, she stopped my son and said what do you think this is. It was a gold ring. She said perhaps you should have it as a momento. His friend thought they should give her a little change but they only had twenties. The woman grabbed it and ran. My son thought, yes, they had been conned. Anyway on their return his friend took the ring into a jewellers and was told it was worth $1500. This is a true story.
Glad it was a happy ending... at least for them. There is still someone out there that lost an expensive ring.
