I'm having fun with my new camera! :D In the morning light which also happened to produce a few minutes of some sunshine, my back yard looked pretty. Not summer-pretty with lots of green and lushness (which is my personal preference) but still, very crisp and clean looking with the white snow, and tiny patches of faint green amidst the barrenness.

These are all shot in Landscape Mode, including the last closeup….I should have changed the setting for that one. And Cheryl, you'd asked about the differences in color between my little point and shoot and the new camera. I was curious too, so I paid particular attention to what I was seeing through the lens of the camera as I was shooting, versus what was actually there. There is virtually no difference, so the only conclusion I can draw is that the other little camera was distorting the color somewhat.

Congratulations on your new camera. :D Winter is nice, but it's especially nice in someone else's yard. :D

Your photos are very pretty, so please go out there and have more fun. :stew2:

Seems like mother nature gave you a little ice and snow so you can test out your camera. It does take nice clear shots.

Well, OK. I am planning to be playing with my camera a lot this weekend, so be prepared for an epic photo-dump.

Just remember, as you sit there flipping through threads to discover I've dominated the board with photo after photo and you moan and groan "No more, PLEASE no more!!!!" Remember that you asked for it!! ;)

Ronni, do you have to resize from landscape mode to fit it on the stew?

Carolyn, anything I want to post to any of the forums I frequent are uploaded to Flickr, (a photo hosting site,) and I've adjusted my upload settings so that my images automatically re-size upon upload to conform to the Stew's (and other forums) size requirements.

Occasionally I'll upload a single image to the Stew directly from my computer, in which case I sometimes have to adjust the size, or the Stewbie photo-bots won't let me post it! :)

Koszta kid, do you know how to resize your image?

I used Photobucket for quite a while, but it started getting really buggy, and after its latest upgrade it stopped allowing me to choose the upload size. The upload defaulted to the large size no matter how often I tweaked the settings. Easier for me to just go back to Flickr, which I'd used for some years before switching to Photobucket.
