Wasn't sure where to post this -- thought about "Recipes..." but opted for here.

    Snowflake Soufflé

    Snowflake soufflé,
    Snowflake soufflé,
    Makes a lip-smacking lunch
    On an ice-cold day.

    You take seven snowflakes,
    You break seven eggs,
And you stir it seven times
    With your two hind legs.

    Bake it in an igloo,
    Throw it on a plate,
    And slice off a slice
    With a rusty ice-skate.

It looks like a winning recipe to me. Shall I call Michelin? Perhaps they will award you a star.
In the off-chjance that you don't know what the heck I'm talking about:

It is a bit complicated.. Try stirring it 1 and 1/2 more times to balalnce it out, Eileen.

I would be very flattered if you would nominate this, Sjoerd!

Well, I gave them a call and they informed me in no uncertain terms that this was NOT the correct procedure at all, rather what needed to be done was to open a restaurant with an out-standing reputation in the area for fine dining and first class quality of service. when the business is established you THEN apply to the Association of Anerican Restaurants which, after their initial visit, may recommend you for a Michelin-star inspector to come and visit. But be careful because this process might backfire and your establishment might get BAD reviews in the leading catering journals. Remember these inspectors can make or break a business.

I tried, but the arrogant tone of the person on the other end of the line was more than I could bear. I explained that you and your recipes qualified on all accounts ...and further, anyone that could pull off the "Snowflake Soufflé" absolutely merited recognition on that basis alone -- but the character insisted that the rules would be followed to the letter, without exception and there was nothing further he could do.
When he asked me to to please hang the fone up and stop bothering him, I used my trump card--I told him who it was for.
Daisy, you can expect an inspecter to call you for an appointment sometime towards the end of the week.
I had no idea that you had that much stroke in the culinary world.

We had about 5 or 6 inches on Saturday. Snowed all day. Snowed and snowed and snowed some more. More snow expected later this week -- February is always our snowiest month.

A good month for snow souffles.
