Sorry I haven't been around much of late but there has been so much going on around here!

The kids started back at school, Jessica at High school now so we have had several meetings at her school and having to get things that weren't on the uniform list that they then tell you they need tomorrow!

We are in the middle of installing a new, modern bathroom in the house to replace the 1970's champagne colour one. What a palava. Imperial to metric....metal to plastic....tiles falling off walls. However, Mark is very good and patient and can turn his hand to anything, so the new shower is plumbed in, the bath installed and loo in situ. This weekend the sink goes in, I grout the tiles, new blind, cabinet, light and shower screen go up, then scrub scrub scrub and hopefully, life in the house gets back to normal.

Working flat out as I don't work during the kids 6 weeks hols, so now I have a lot of catching up to do. As I am self employed, I have a tax return to do, and my book keeping leaves a lot to be desired, so I have been spending evenings getting my accounts in order (groan). Also the allotment is like a jungle so every spare moment I am trying to get there, even if it is just for 30 minutes to cut paths or plant a few more new strawberry plants. And to add to that, it is out Autumn show on Saturday, so I have baking and preperations for that.

The family are all well and I have to say, I am glad the hols are over and we get back into the routine again.

Hopefully now the nights are darker (yuck) and once the bathroom is finished, you will once again have my undivided attention. Sorry if I have neglected anyone inparticular, I will catch up, I promise. xx

Good to see you back on here, EJ.
What a big deal that bathroom re-do is. I know bercause I did ours a few years ago...but I got a bunch of people motivated and the job was fairly quickly done all working together.

I'll bet that you have all manner of jobs in a queue, waiting to be worked-off one by one. I hope this nasty weather won't hamper you too much.

You know that we are all waiting to see your pics of the Autumn show. That is going to require quite a bit of your time as well, isn't it? Will all the kids be participating this year again?

    ...and the taxes....What a headache.

Ok then, EJ...here's wishing you strength to get through it all.

I have been wondering where you were too, without you and Eileen it had been pretty quiet. Now to get Droopy back to talking frequently too.

My youngest grandson just started high school too, bit adjustment for the kiddos and Mom!

You poor thing EJ, up to your nose with this and that. I am sure it must be really worth every bit of it with the new bathroom coming up real pretty and updated. :)

Tax return, I am really glad I do not have to do that anymore, I really hate it :scheming: .

Now don't forget to take a little break every now and then ya!! Have some tea on me :)

I'm sure you will soon get back into your fall routing but there is nothing that stays "normal". Everything changes. I bet Jessica was excited to be going to high school. I'm just wondering how she grew up so fast. Wasn't she just small when you started posting on here? dooley
