I love these little plants, they just bloom their hearts out. The first I ever bought was a purple, it has grown through the side of a whiskey barrel planter in this picture:

This is a first year plant, Pink Cloud, it has just started blooming:

This is another first year plant, Ambrose Verschaffelt, I just love it:

This one I got, along with 5 others last fall, the blue is the only other one that has bloomed, and I can't get a good picture of it. this one is Fuschia:

Sharon those are such cute little flowers. Imagine it growing through the side of the whiskey barrel. Must be a strong and determined little plant. That is a great shot, BTW. The others are also very dainty and sweet. Your yard must look amazing.

Those are pretty. Though I don't think I've ever heard of that name before. Are these perrianniel plants?

Your Achimenes are so pretty and with such a long flowering season certainly are a worthwhile investment for any garden. :-D

Thanks for the lovely comments all. Petunia, they are perennial, they are actually a small flesh colored tuber and they multiply rapidly. Here in my zone 8b garden they overwinter outside. They bloom from June until October, at which time the plant dies down. The tubers can then be brought in to overwinter. I got my original plant in a 4" pot at a garage sale. I had seen them in one of my plant catalogs so decided to give them a try, and I haven't been sorry. I have red, white, blue, peach and another color pink besides the ones in the picture. I think I am hooked, lol.
