had a look this morning and my cactus have germinated already woo!! im currently in competition with my sister with cactus, i gave her some of my seeds at the start of the year and wouldn't you know it, hers took off and mine kind of didn't :( so i armed myself with cactus compost, a heated propagator and a fresh pack of seeds, and 8 days later i have 3 young seedlings poking there heads out. no pics just yet as the macro on my camera isn't too great :) i don't know what it is but theres something hugely satisfying about getting a seed going. i love it!! :-D

Congratulations Luke on getting the cactus seeds to germinate. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well with them and that more appear for you.

Way to go! Can't wait until they are big enough to pose for photos.
I, too, get all excited when a seed sprouts. It's almost like watching a miracle take place. :stew2:

Congratulations Luke, there is nothing like staring at barren earth and then realize that life has emerged, and you had something to do with it. Looking forward to cactus pictures.

my propagator doesn't seem to distribute the heat evenly, when i leave it on over night i wake to a very dry circle in the centre of the propagator? is this normal?? i filled mine with about 2" of cactus compost and sowed straight into that.
