I have been having some major issues in getting on the Stew. I think it is my computer server. If that is the right term. I think I will check in to possibly getting Hughes satellite for my computer server. Anyway. I am so glad I have been able to finally get back on the Stew. NOW come the daunting task of getting caught up on all of the posts and news.

What sort of issues are you having Tooty? If it's blank pages then it's most likely your ISP or router that's the issue. Stew's uptime has been quite good recently (apart from a few hours downtime last month.)

Keeping my fingers crossed that you will not pull out your hair and you'll be able to get into the stew whenever you want :)

Sure know how you feel Tooty. I get kicked off every time we get a rain or snow storm. This time it lasted several days. Not liking satellite at all! I have no other choice.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. I HATE being without my Stew family.

Frank the problem I have so often is the page will start loading and then just freeze.
Or like you said, I was getting blank pages. ARGGGGGGGGG! Computers. It's a hate love relationship.

Chrisle I have the same problem and I have a cell tower hook up that allows me to be online. I was thinking of switching over to Hughesnet who is satellite. But after what you said maybe I will rethink the situation.

After I bought my Mac I had to up my server from silver-lowest cost. To bronze-middle cost because the other one was soooooo slow because of my Mac.
Sometimes I think they just do that so you buy a higher priced service. I will have to take my Mac in for a tune up. But I hate being without it.

I have Time Warner Cable and once in a while I just get disconnected from any place I am or off the website that I am on. I get back in right away after I sign in again.
    Glad to have you back...

Well I think I will have to take my Mac to the Mac doctor and have them give it a checkup. It so often freezes when I am trying to get online. It drives me CRAZY. I even have firefox as an alternate browser. It does it with that one also. YIKES. I do not need this at the Holidays. Ok settle down. Take a deep breath and repeat,, this shall pass, this shall pass. :-?

Maybe a format from time to time,

I put my images on a USB stick which I take out at night and re-insert it the day after.

My computer is a tower on Windows. I know nothing about Mac except I would love a Mac Air and an IPhone 6.

Maybe lighten the load by using ICloud storage. I just found out as a premium member I can have free storage at Amamzan.

Lots of choices to lighten/quicken your computer T2S

I have http://www.charlottezweb.com/Jason and https://www.ukhost4u.co.uk/ for my ISPs.

Thank you Kate for the info. I love my Mac. Especially because I do not have a tower and I don't need to buy a virus protection program as Mac's safety features are really great.
I should probably load my photos onto the cloud. I also have USBs but do not use them. Something else to check into. :stew1:
