Got the chimney and wood burning stove cleaned out on Fri. The only thing left is to split and stack the last of the wood when it gets here. I ordered 2 cords of wood and should be getting it any day. I still have 2 1/2 cords left over from last year that is well seasoned.

We are all set too! Chimney and stove cleaned out, now I just have to stack 2 cords yet to be delivered. Also have some wood left from last season. I actually enjoy stacking wood on nice days :)

Yes, we have a wood shed too. But when it is delivered it is dumped outside and needs to be stacked in the shed. I enjoy this job on a nice fall day. One year we ran out of wood and had to order some in the middle of winter. I did NOT enjoy putting THAT load away! The snow was blowing, the wood was icy and didn't burn. I learned my lesson that year and always make sure to have lots in the woodshed before winter hits.

It's good to know that you're well ahead of winter and have everything in readiness for the cold weather.

We put 2 loads in basement. Was all set to give up wood-burning. Youngest divorced moved back home. First thing he bought big log splitter .
