Sadly this is not a good show plant as the leaves begin to die as the flowers open. However, it does look rather good. Each flower is about 3 inches across and the plant no more than 9 inches tall. Allium nevskianum.
That is pretty, large blooms for such a short little plant. After the blooming ends, do the leaves come back or does it wait until next spring?
I don't think I've ever seen an Allium as short as your one before. I always think of them as tall stately plants for some reason. Your Nevskianum is a beautiful colour and those large flowers are really lovely.
It is a bulb, so once it has finished flowering and produced seeds it dies down for the summer. It needs a good hot dry period to ripen the bulb for next season. There are more small Alliums than there are big tall ones. I grow a fair number of them.
