Well, spent a couple of hours on the plot this afternoon mainly to do some picking and some weeding. Plenty there growing, and at last, things to come home for tea. Raspberries - Glen Ample are coming thick and fast. Best year yet. Peas are developing nicely - this in a petite pois variety, so lots of very small sweet peas in a pod. Lollo Rosso lettuce, a monster which was starting to get too chunky, so home for tea. Zucchini/courgettes. Not a glut yet, but there will be soon as each plant has at least 5 babies on it, and I have 8 plants! Broadbeans, all the mishapen ones as I am saving the perfect pods for the village horticultural show in 2 weeks time. And especially for Sjoerd - the International Kidney new potatoes, also known as the Jersey Royal. Had them for tea, with the mixed salad, warm, with butter and pepper. Boy they are great!
Almost supper time here and I just thought I was hungry until I looked at your vegies, now I am starving. What a great harvest.
Ooo, and to add, I am also growing more flowers this year on the plot. Already had daffs, now the sweetpeas are starting to look good.

I'm glad I'm writing and not talking. My mouth's watering and my body craves raspberries and peas straight off the vine! Not to mention new potatoes and a small side salad. And I'd like it served next to the sweetpeas, thank you very much.
Heh heh heh...Just look at that cornucopia. :-D I'm one big smile from ear to ear. It looks like a great haul. Everything that you showed looks very nice indeed. The Lathyrus is perfect as topping for the whole thing. Now.... the Jersey Royals-- I like the look of those very much. In appearance, they look quite a bit like the Belle de Fontenay. I appreciate you showing these because if I can grow them like that, then I will be a happy fellow. How many do you get per per plant on average? The broadbeans that you are saving for competition: can you really sacve them for two weeks? Even with Andrew Tokley's tricks I am surprized you can keep them that long. I thought that a week was pretrty good. Now EJ, you must keep us up to date with the coming show and post a few of your entrys and the prizes, ok? Things are looking on the veg front there.
mmm, those raspberries sure do look delicious. And look at those peas. Do you string them up? Everything is growing so good. Everyone doing spuds this year have got me talked into growing some next year. Thanks for sharing.
