I have split wood every day this week so far. I have about 1 days worth of splitting left to do and I will have enough. I have to cut down one more tree and then trim off a couple of stumps and then split that and put it away. I'll be toasty this winter!

Great job CK and very satisfying too I imagine. Knowing that you have gathered, split ans stored wood to keep you and yours toasty warm through all the bad weather - well done.

How did the cat convey that notion to you, I wonder? Does it sit itself in the fireplace or on the wood? Does it snare itself around your legs miaowing and looking wistfully at the fireplace?

I love the stories of everyday communication between cats/dogs/anything and owners. Do tell!

The cat was laying behind the stove sleeping. He was all curled up like he was cold! When he is warm, he lays stretched out.

Lovely. getting all geared up for Winter.
I myself love Autumn and winter. My pets also love those two seasons. In fact they go so far as to actually hint at me to start the fire by bringing the logs inside.
    Enjoy your toasty times.
