Most of our snow and ice has now melted. We are at 55 deg F. and are supposed to be the same on Fri with a chance of a few light rain showers. Even had 2 robins out in the front yard looking for worms.

With all of the melted snow and ice, the yard is like walking on a wet sponge. Pretty squishy in the low areas.

Our snow has only 25 inches to go before we see the ground. Warm days ahead:)

Our's is all gone. I went into town to exercise this morning and the only snow left is where it had drifted in the ditches and where it was piled up in the parking lots. But early spring is here as there are a lot of dead skunks and opposums along the road. This morning was the first I have been able to go out the driveway without having to have the Jeep in 4 wheel drive since before Christmas!

The snow is melting quickly here too...I can actually see patches of grass! It won't last ... 5cm of fresh snow expected tomorrow.

We went out in the yard this morning and picked up small limbs and twigs that the ice storm had brought down. It was 60 deg F. with a southwest wind. I had a sweat shirt on and I was sweating when I came in. But the yard is looking pretty good. The grass is starting to green up some just from a few days of sun. The wild rose stems have turned a reddish color and have small leaf buds growing on them.
