Our friends are in Tenn. right now and will be arriving here Late on Sat. afternoon. All this next week we will be taking short day trips with them and then on Oct. 3rd we will take off for a week or so with them. We haven't seen them in a year and a half. We have known them for so long, they are like family. We lived nex door to them in Virginia Beach, Virginia in the mid to late 60's. We watched the first moon walk with them on their tv. Then they moved to Maine and 6 months later we followed. Then He retired from theNavy and moved back to Georgia. A year later we moved to Jacksonville Florida which was only 500 miles away from them. So we would run up to their place almost every month for a weekend. We have been getting together every year or so since then.
It's lovely to hear that you and you friends have stayed in touch CK. So many times when friends move away contact is lost. Enjoy both your day trips and you week away with them BUT don't forget to take a camera with you.
They pulled into their campground about 4:30 pm on Sat. We met them there and helped them get set up. Then we took them to a nice restraunt for dinner. Then Sun they came to our house and I had a big pot of homemde spagheti sauce that had been cooking all day. So we sat around gabbing and then had a big Italian dinner. Today we are taking them off shopping.
