Aloha from the "Garden Isle" I have had so much fun reading your forums this morning. Originally seeking information on bugs that I found on the stems of my heirloom tomatos. They looked like small round fleas with shiny exteriors and were very active (100 or so mostly on the tips of the hairs of the main stems). However, when I went to take a picture of them two hours later they had all disappeared. We did have some heavy rains early this morning, perhaps they where harmless bugs trying to stay dry. If they show again I'll snap them quick. This is my first time growing heirlooms (3 varieties) and I am keeping a real close eye on them. No doubt I'll be on-line several times between now and harvest. Look forward to your input. Connie in Kauai P.S. Planting telephone poles means: Planting Honduran Mahoganies which grow straight as telephone poles here, we planted a small grove of 150.
