This is not the first time it happened but it had been awhile since it happened. After the last attack, I downloaded the pictures as soon as I take them but after awhile with no further attack, I just do it when I have the time.

Guess I'll have to do another open camera surgery !! :D

I'd probably would have tossed the camera from the highest tree if that happened to me!
Sorry about the photos you lost, hopefully there's some you can retake?

Bummer KK, while this has never happened to me I can empathize with you because I have lost hard drives and lots of data. Always an Oh No!! feeling. Sounds like it's time for a new camera.

Oh, KK, I feel for you. I am technologically challenged and for the smallest problem I have to call for my not so tech. challenged son to rescue me. Sorry you lost them. That means WE lost them too. :'( My card says error when the kids change something on the card while it's in the computer. :headscratch:

You have my sympathy. I'm very good at emptying the camera regularly, and also very good at burning CD-roms of my photos. I've fallen behind with the burning bit, so I need to get on top of that. I hate it when I loose photos one way or the other.

Isn't it sooo frustrating when this kind of thing happens? I hope you can either get the problem fixed or that you get a new camera soon.

Oh Noooooo, KK! What a shame, mate.
I hope that you can fix that camera...otherwise, there's the pavement below the Petronas Twin Towers....know what I mean? ;)

So sorry for your problems....I sometimes take a few pictures and then take time to read the screen and it says "NO MEMORY CARD"...then I remember I left it on the computer after I downloaded the last ones..

Thank you all for your sympathy, sure makes me feel better. Took a couple of photos this evening and just got them downloaded to the pc and HURRAY!!! it is working fine :-D

Cherlylad, Miss Liberty, I think I can retake some of them which I did this evening but most of them I can't because they are either eaten or grown.

Jerry I did thought of a new camera when the battery was no longer seviceable but I found one at a great price and I decided to hang on to it. This is my very first digital camera and it had gone places with me right to a depth of 150 feet below the sea. According to the internet it is a design failure and not a fault. It will happen again after a long while. I think I'll stick on to it for awhile more.

Carolyn,Droopy, Eileen, Philip it is indeed so frustrating, the fixing part is done but the photos are lost forever. I'll make sure I transfer them to my pc ASAP from now onwards

    Sojerd :D

Sherry8, I wish I had forgot the memory card.
