Amaryllis needed digging up. Boy was I surprised at how many I have now. Going to make them their own garden next spring.

Blimey that's a heck of a lot of amaryllis Donna. I can see why you've decided to give them a garden of their own. You must show us them again once they are planted up and begin flowering for you.

Please be extra careful - As this plant is very poisonous. And most of the toxin is concentrated in the bulb. So keep away form pets and young children!

Holy that's a lot of Amarylis! The same thing just happened to me last weekend when I dug up my Camassia bulbs. I started with just 5 bulbs a few years ago and now I have almost a whole 5 gal pail!

Donna... I'm curious... why are you digging them up? Just to relocate or protect over the winter?
I'd think they'd be okay there... but what do I know? :headscratch:

Cheryl, They were over growing a garden path and getting broken off walking by them.

It must be nice to be able to grow them outside and have plenty for a really good size garden of them. Are they all the same color? .... I just stopped to google it and found that there a number of different colors mostly in various shades of pink, from the palest to almost a red.
