A friend sent me this link. Mt. Rainier is the local volcano in the Cascade Mts. I see daily (if it's not cloudy). It often has some spectacular cloud formations. This last week before the rains hit they were especially wild. Some clouds look more like space ships than clouds. http://www.komonews.com/weather/blog/35631614.html

    Hope you enjoy the pictures.

How about that! I have never seen anything like that. I'd be pretty excited to see a scene like that on a regular basis. Thanks Jewell.

I am glad you all enjoyed the pics. I only got to see it in photos also. A friend said she was on her way to Seattle Friday and there were people pulling off the freeway to take pictures of the cloud formations. Nature can certainly be truly amazing :)

    8) There's not but one word to descibe those pics, or what Mother Nature can do: AWESOME!!!! Those are some of the most bizarre cloud formations ever seen, and some of the best pics ever taken. Congrats and Kudos! The N/W is amazing.

Fantastic shots. You can see why people, epsecially after a glass or 2 of homebrew, would mistake them for a UFO. Gorgeous, I love the darker, dusky piccies, about half way through. Fantastic!!!!
