Beautiful photos Eileen. I have never seen a Tortoiseshell or Peacock butterflies before. They are really pretty, I like the row of dots and larger spots along the edges of the Tortoiseshell's wings, so precise.

What a lovely sight! :D We have the Admiral here, the other two are further south I think. We also have those little white ones, but they are really fast! :D I have been chasing after butterflies for days, and today when I was mistreating the plum tree they were all over, one even landed on me!

What sunshine? Lucky you! I never have my camera handy when I see the flutterbyes as it tends to be when I am working, and I have no idea of the differences so it is lovely to see those shots Eileen.

Those are supurb shots, Eileen. Each one of those beauties look so nice on the buddleia--very fitting ;)
That last one resembles the north american 'Painted Lady'. I wonder if they are related.

So pretty Eileen! It's been a while since I've seen any butterflie here.
Um...Droopy, what were you doing to your plum tree? LOL

Eileen, those are so pretty. It amazes me how you, Sherry, Glenda and others always seem to have camera in hand. I see my hummers and butterflies, and 'think' camera. But even if I had it, I wouldn't be quick enough to capture a picture. Thanks for sharing.
