    This isn't the original one I was posting pictures of, but another smaller one in my yard. The other one was moved to my Tabula Rasa Arboretum.

    I'm soon to get planting mix delivered and cover all that dead grass you see, which was planted with Lycoris radiata, and on top of all that plant common shield fern (Thilypteris normalis). I've been working on this yard for 6 years and just never seem to be able to finish it.

    Looks like a very interesting plant. Does it bloom and what's the bloom like? Is it a tropical?

    I was, also, wondering if it blooms. It is a very interesting plant.

    blooms before removing leaves :) maybe this will happen next year..........But it is very beautiful without flower
    :-D

    These are sort of complicated plants. The bulb has to be mature to bloom. If it does bloom, leaves don't show up for up to 3 months afterward. Sometimes, they skip a whole growing season after blooming before putting out any leaf. 'Konjac' seems to be a better choice if you want leaves almost year round.
