An ID Question

    Can any of you identify this egg scene?
    What animal or insect does this?
    It was photographed on the leaf of a Clematis which I was clearing off a rack.

    It is a sort of gelatinous glob in which the eggs and larvae? are suspended.

    Please put your thinking caps on. This is where I miss Eileen, she was so good at identifying this sort of thing.

    Maybe whiteflies ? Especially whiteflies this time of year. I have them on my clematis and wisteria vine when cutting them back this year .

    Pac— whiteflies do not reproduce like this. Now you mention it, I haven’t seen any whiteflies this year at all. Odd, that.
