I'm so full of emotions today, I'm practically legless. Yesterday evening I was preparing for our 25th reunion and thought I'd pop in and check a forum while my nail polish dried. What I found was a puzzle and the question "What did we do yesterday?" I'm fairly good at puzzles, and hung on the phone to my eldest within half a minute. She wasn't available, so I had to curb my impatience and wait while getting myself ready. I finally managed to get hold of her, and was told I had guessed right. They had sneaked off and gotten married on February 29th, and hadn't told a soul. I'm very happy for them, I think it's wonderful, and I was so shaken I took the car to the party. If I had had one glass of wine I'd either fall asleep underneath the table or be dancing on the ceiling. The reunion was a success but I'm still so full of emotion I'm not quite sure where I am. I know what I am, though.
Conratulaions to your daughter and your new son-in- law Droopy. You'll make a lovely mother-in-law. :-D So glad the 25th reunion party went well and that you enjoyed yourself.
Congratulations to the newly married couple and to you too. Isn't if wonderful when children find happiness? I'm glad your reunion went well and you didn't end up under the table or on it! dooley
Thank you for the well-wishes. My son-in-law is a very nice man, I couldn't have been more pleased if I had picked him myself.
What a wonderful surprise for you and a very good bonus that you like your new son-in-law. Hope they have many happy years together.
Wow, what great news! Sounds like there's a lot of happy times going on for all of you. Congrats to the newlyweds, and for a good reunion as well.
Congratulations Droopy. You must be pretty happy about this, in spite of the big surprize. Imagine getting married and not telling a soul. heh heh...what a rascal! -- we have a saying here,"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree".
Yes Congratulations from me to. Sure makes it nice when everyone likes each other. Good to hear you had a nice time at the reunion as well.
Thank you, all. They're back home now, and flying fairly high, both of them. They spent their wedding night in a snow hotel with sleeping bags and a wooden kitchen hut where food was prepared over a fire. Sounds too cold for me, but they insist on having had a lovely time.
I have seen news stories about the snow hotels. If I was young and in love sleeping in a cloth bag on a slab of ice would be a great adventure too....not for a honeymoon mind you, but some other time.
Congratulations! May their married life be long and filled with happiness. And Grandchildren for you of course. :-D
Thank you. I'm practicing to become a proper bother-in-law. Bethie, I've already got a grand-daughter, and the next one is due sometime in late May.
Congratulations to the newlyweds. We have seen those snow hotels and the constructions of them on the discovery channel. They were really awsome when they were finished with them.
Thank you Petunia. I've seen some photos today. I especially liked the ice glasses. No dishes to do, they just smash'em.
