Very lovely indeed. I am interested to hear how long on average one of your watercolours takes?

Hi Frank, Thank you. I work in stages and never finish one in a sitting. I always have more than one watercolor in the works, or sketching for the next, or I'm on a hunt through my reference photos for good shots. I'm not really sure...I guess I should keep track, but when I have tried in the past, I always end up feeling under the gun to move faster. I'd rather not know I guess.

Your anemones are lovely. You've managed to capture their delicate beauty to perfection. I just hope that mine have survived our winter weather and will be in bloom again this year.

Thanks Glendann, and Eileen, painting them is as close as I've ever managed to get to growing them. I have tried and have never had any luck. I photographed these beauties last year in the Longwood Gardens conservatory. I tried again this fall and planted a package of them again...we will see, my fingers are crossed.

Beeeeeeeeeeeutiful. I would love to be able to create something as stunning as that. The colours are delicate, and yet vibrant. A gorgeous painting. You have a special talent for sure.

Very beautiful. It must bring you so much enjoyment -- both the process and the end result.

Such a fantastic painting drissel, you are very talented. I don't suppose you've done a painting of a Peony bloom? (They are my favorite!)

Thanks Calin, I hope the ones I planted will at least make a showing for me. The ones in the watercolor were photographed under ideal conditions, grown by experts. The blossoms were very large and didn't have to put up with bad weather as they were in a conservatory. Thanks Daisybeans, it brings me great joy! Netty, I have never completed a peony...I've started, but all those petals, the sketch alone is daunting....my sister grows a long border in the spring, perhaps I will try again.

Ahhh! Lovely, it took my breath away. :D We've got an anemone watercolour on our wall, made by a semi-known Norwegian painter, but yours is lovelier. More detail, and happier colours.
