Texas has such interesting weather! Again, I'm asking Toni, Cheryl, and any other members in Texas if they are in danger of flooding. I certainly hope not! We are okay--the chicken coop flooded again and we moved the ladies to the new coop that is higher and dryer. We have standing water in the flower beds and in the garden paths, but we've had this before and it drains away in a couple of days. If anyone, in any state, is having problems with the storms, please know our prayers are with you!
We are on high ground in our area. Only thing that floods are the creeks. Few of those go over the roads but its only a couple of days as well !! We only got 3 inches of the wet stuff. Cherylad is down south, not sure where though. Hope all is ok there.
Cheryl is in Liberty east/northeast of Houston and according to the weather radar this morning she was getting hammered. Meanwhile up here is dryer country, my yard has had just 2.29 inches total for the last 48 hours. And nothing today...yet. Looks to be something heading our way from the southwest....maybe, maybe not.
Radar this morning looked like you may get a little bit more, Toni. But it may have changed since then. Looked to split and come your way and the rest to the south of us.
There was something out west of us this morning but it fell apart before getting here. The green heading towards us a little while ago can be seen disappearing right before your eyes on the radar now.
We live in Wisconsin now and the last couple of days seemed like summer. It was 83 today! BUT, it says tomorrow will only be 63 and then the rest of the week 57 or 58 degrees. It's trying to fool us into getting summer things out of storage. No more winter coats though. I'll just add a fleece shirt under my spring jacket. dooley
A big green/yellow/red mass that seemed to be moving our way broke up before it reached us (thank heavens!). We had just over 4" of rain in 24 hours, and off-and-on showers and rain are predicted until Wednesday. The weeds will be higher than the vegetable plants, and I'll have a two week job ahead of me just getting the vegetable and flower gardens neatened up again. After seeing the Houston area, I can't really complain. They got hit hard, to the point of the mayor declaring an emergency, and schools being closed today.
We had a bit of showers here today but not enough to make the ground wet. Just sprinkles on all of the car windows. We were able to walk around without getting wet. Showers predicted for every day this week but nothing major. Weather in the 40's today and 50's to lower 60's later this week. I did get my winter coat back out today. dooley
