Since I haven't posted much lately, other than to answer or comment, I'll fill you all in. My FiL hasn't been feeling quite himself all of this Summer. He hasn't done any gardening what so ever. He has been to the heart doctor almost weekly (and since we are the only children near them we, or mostly I, do all the running back and forth) Well, he had an infection around the area, needed his pacemaker replaced and tomorrow I take him back in to have it practically replaced a week after it was done. The lead wire became dislodged and has to be put back where it belongs..... I am tired. Hopefully he will be back on his feet again soon...again.

Carolyn, you must take care of yourself, too, you know. Your father-in-law is getting care and will surely be feeling better soon.
We'll all keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

    Oh no! I'm so sorry.

Looks like we've been MIA together. I hope you FIL is doing better and that this is the last round of treatment he's going to need for a while!

Thanks all. Surgery is re-done and all went well. Now as long as he heals well is the next important step.

Hope that YOU are doing well. Of course it is difficult for your father, but it must be a bit tough for you as well.

Here's wishing the best for your dad on the next phase of his recovery...and for you who has all the responsibilities of family life, your business and then the welfare of your father.

How are the market days going for you guys this year?

As I think you appointed yourself as caregiver.....take care of yourself....my dear friend.

Your loved one is only as strong as the caregiver.

Hi Carolyn, You obviously are doing a good job of helping your father in law. I do know though how exhausting that can be for the caregiver. I hope this second pacemaker does the trick & he feels better soon. You too.

Thanks All. We are doing well. Since there is no one else to do for them it is me who fills when where they need help. Thankfully my FIL is mostly healthy and I have only been doing the helping for the last few weeks with doctors appointments and the hospital stuff. That may change now, but none of know what the day will bring, so we each have to go with the flow. There are just things I can't control or change so we deal with them as they are. Today he is supposed to come home, again.
