The passion started with a few select house plants, turning into a a larger outside veggie garden, and now to a indoor growing station equipped with HID and florescent. I really like cloning plants I find interesting, But I rarely know what they are. I am looking forward to stripping this site of all its knowledge. Thanks in advance for all you help. Mikey
Hi there Mikey and a warm welcome to GardenStew from Scotland. You'll find many knowledgeable people here who'll be only too willing to help you ID your plants for you. You must tell us how you go about cloning your plants.
Most of the time it is from cuttings with some rooting compound on the cut end. I also tried a few in a solution, which I did not prefer.

Welcome Welcome from coastal NC, Mikey. I can tell you're hooked on growing, so you'll fit right in. I'm trying my hand at starting seeds under grow lights too. I find the trick is to keep evenly moist and keep lights on at least 12 hrs a day, depending on what lights you have. Good luck.
Heating mats are nice too, they really speed things up, but also aids damping off, if you keep it really moist it might not be a bad idea to keep a fan on them once they sprout, this will keep them from getting too tall and falling over.
