    Just took this and it turned out really nice, many buds to open, wish ya'll could smell these orchids the scent is lovely,bees love them,tried to capture some at work but no luck.

    That's out of this world, SusieQ. What type is this one? I'm nursing a Phalanopsis on my kitchen window. I 'd like to try another variety. Thanks for sharing.

    hi guys. if i am not wrong, this is actually a tree. found it in taiwan when i was there, and then later on when i visited hong kong. it's really the flower on the hong kong flag (if they have something called a flag).
    the tree/flower is Bauhinia blakeana (in hong kong) or just search for bauhinia on google and u will see all kinds.
    i was looking for seeds, but i figured in cold-wintered romania, i'd need a big greenhouse to actually have such a tree flower.
