This time we look at the different fungi that we may see as we take a stroll through the woods. A Look at Fungi

I must send a copy of this post to my eldest son as he is very interested in Fungi photography. The biggest one he ever found was a giant puff ball that measured approximately two feet in circumference.

I like fungus as well. Those are some awesome pictures you have. Its fun walking through the woods trying to figure out what that plant is or what kind of fungus that is. In fact a couple of weeks ago I was in the woods and found a huge patch of giant morels. I picked a few to eat and left the rest. They were pretty good for having never eaten a morel before.

Great pictures! Are you lucky enough to have morels growing in your area? They're well-hidden here, and no one would dare tell you where to find them if they knew!

Yes there are a few around but I don't eat anything out of the woods.

I didn't have time earlier in the day to really appreciate this, Kildale, just looked through it now.. I love pics of fungi -- there are so many different shapes, textures, colors, lots of little surprises in the woods! I enjoyed your photos a lot! Also the link to the mosses.
