Hi Pethummer Welcome to Gardenstew from southern Ontario! I don't think that the ants will harm your plants. I have recently heard that cornmeal will kill them. I don't know if it works, but I think it's worth a try!
Thank you very much. I will try that and I read also that baking soda kills ants too. Reacts as a poison to them that they take back to the queen and knocks out the whole colony.
