Any will do, just none with peanuts or shellfish, or fish in general because my dad is allergic to fish and I'm allergic to peanuts.

    Stir Fried Leeks

I found this recipe and I'll try this one...

    Stir-fried Leeks
This served one vegetable-loving person. Feel free to double or triple the recipe, just don't crowd the pan.

    1 leek
2 teaspoons minced ginger (feel free to leave the peel on)
    2 teaspoons minced garlic
    pinch of red pepper flakes
    1 teaspoon dark soy sauce*
    1 tablespoon mirin
    1/4 cup broth
oil for stir-frying (I use canola. No use wasting the good olive oil for this)

Clean the leek and chop it into 1-inch pieces. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Add ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes and cook for thirty seconds or until fragrant. Add leek and stir fry until bright green and slightly blackened, about five minutes. Add dark soy sauce, mirin, and broth and cook until most of the liquid has disappeared.

This is how we normally eat our leeks and everyone enjoyed it. :)

    Easy saute leeks.

    Preparation.
    1. Cut leeks about 3 inches in lenght diagonally. The quantity is determined by the number of people eating it.
    2. You can add deshelled shrimps about 3 or 4 per person. Marinate the shrimps with light soya sauce and pepper to taste with some cornstarch. Example 12 shrimps to a teaspoon of corn starch is more than enough.
2.1 If you dont like shrimp you can add sliced calamari or pork marinated in the same way. Bacon would be nice too! You can have everything in it too!! :)
    3. About 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic - if you don't like garlic then it can be omitted.

    Method.
    1. Heat some cooking oil in a pan.
    2. Saute the ingridents prepared in this order
    2.1 Garlic
2.2 Shrimps or calamari or pork or bacon or all!! Make sure that the shrimp or calamari is semi cook and the pork is completely cook before going to next step. If adding shrimps or calamari with pork, make sure to add the pork first so that the shrimp or calamari will not be overcooked.
    2.3 Finally the leeks.
    3. After leeks are like half cook add a little water and salt ot taste.
3.1 If you like your leeks to be slightly raw then it is done, cook it a little furhter if you like it done.

    Enjoy!! Yum!! Yum!! :smt110 :setc_092:
